Spring 2008
Welcome to our newly refurbished website and I invite you to browse many new features and our special events programme. We have had a fantastic winter of events, particularly very succesful charity balls which through the hard work of the organisers many thousands of pounds have been raised for local charities and now as I write at last the first shoots of Spring have arrived and we look forward to using our extensive Al Fresco Dining Facilities in what we must all hope is better summer weather than last year. AUTUMN 2007
Well that was summer! a very warm welcome to autumn!! but we must not complain because here at Baldwins we did not suffer from Floods or any other of the natural and man made disasters this summer but I would be telling lies if I didn't say we had not had the best of summers.
We did however have a good season of School Proms and University Balls, with our usual great public nights Salmon - Strawberry and Carribean Beach Party's, the main event of the Summer both here and nationally was the start of the NO SMOKING IN PUBLIC PLACES REGIME which proved to be something of a damp tab end as I had predicted in my earlier blogs. We have provided two great new heated outdoor weatherproof areas for the worshippers of the weed to congregate in fact our new water garden facility has a proved to be as attractive to non-smokers as smokers!
Baldwins Lunch Restaurant continues to open Tuesday to Friday each week with our renowned Al A Carte Menu and our Famous Plat Du Jour Menu's and our menu changes monthly and is posted on this website. The Restaurant has enjoyed its best Summer ever and it is now advisable to book a table in advance to avoid disappointment.
